Puppets for Peru

These Peruvian Puppets will be used to minister to the children in Peru at the Community Center activities.  Each center will have a family of five...dad, mom, daughter, son, and grandmother. 

The first Peruvian Puppet family (along with a Gospel Teddy Bear) arrived in Trujillo in March, 2006.  Can you figure out which ones are the puppets?

Pray that many lives will be won for Jesus through this ministry.

Quilt's Of Comfort For Peru

"Quilt's Of Comfort For Peru" was started in Portland, Oregon, in July of 2005.  The purpose is to send comfort quilts to be given out by our loving workers in Peru, to new mothers in poverty, little children in poverty, and anyone else who is in need as contacts are made.  Each quilt has a label sewn in the back corner which contains John 3:16 in Spanish. 

Within a couple months the women from Dianne Adams (John Hendee's sister) church had made 68 such quilts.  John took these to Peru in September of 2005.  The second group of quilts...81... were taken by John in February of 2006, which will be taken to Peru in March.  We will continue to make these quilts because there are thousands of needs.

Update...as of October 2006 there have been a total of 225 quilts made and they are being passed out in the barrios.  Praise the Lord for this ministry and the wonderful team in Peru!

Update...as of October 2007 there have been a total of 338 quilts made.

Angel Dolls

Carla Hendee is working with a group of women in Arizona.  Their goal is to make 250 Angel Dolls to be given to injured, sick or abused children.  The child will be prayed for every day by our Director in Peru who gives out the doll.  It is a way to reach out to the mother and the child.

Thanks to all these women for their hard work making the beautiful dolls.  Each doll has a card with it and a heart sewn on it that says "Jesus Loves Me".
