PROJECT NEW HOPE INTERNATIONAL

Bringing Hope to those who have lost hope!

                               La Fuerza

This is a program we are beginning for University students in conjunction with a U.S. university and a Peruvian university.  We will offer a diploma to those who complete the one year.   We will train university students in organizing and running a social help program so they can do it wherever they live and use their skills to help others.  By working with them in this way, we will have the opportunity to share the Love of God with them and show them how to have the best HOPE in life.

We are going to professionals in Trujillo and ask them to help us by giving five hours, one Saturday a month, to work as a mentor to the university students working at one of our Centers.  This will give us contact with professionals that we would otherwise never have. We can share the love and message of Christ with them also.

Then we will begin asking U.S. professionals to come to Trujillo and offer seminars in their area of specialty to benefit the people in Peru. That would give us contact with more people as they attend the seminars.

Tanya, Rossie and Sandra working in the office.

Tanya is studying Turism at Alas Peruanas University (UAP).  She is part of the team of La Fuerze and she is in charge of organizing the activities for university students in the city.

Finishing a day of work.

Karin is with a group of students from Antenor Orrego University.  They spent time visiting the PNHI six barrios to know the barrios, the kind of living there, possibility to make a radio program, etc.

Psychology students visiting the barrios.   The girl (fourth from left), had relatives and friends who lived in Pisco during the earthquake.  For that reason, her relatives moved from Pisco to Trujillo because people there are suffering and don't have anything, and they are afraid of earthquakes.  It was sad to hear about what they experienced and about the people still living in Pisco.

Students of psychology giving a workshop to people in their barrio.

Andres and Karin went to Lima for a session about university student leaders.

All the students who are making their professional practice in the barrios spend more than one hour traveling to get there!  We are proud of them.
